Artist Statement

I am a visual artist from Columbus, Ohio. I enjoy experimenting with color and texture to create unique works of abstract art. Many of my pieces begin with a sort of chaotic method, letting the paint do what it wants to do, then I shape the rest of the composition. Always a reflection of current events in my life, or experiences I have had along the way, my art is both personal and of my view of the world and is inspired by nature, symbolism, history, science, popular culture, and world cultures. It usually has an organic quality, or is geometric in design.

2009 GCAC Potential:

I was selected as a potential for the 2009 Greater Columbus Arts Council Partnership Awards. The two works that were selected for this level were Avian and Plumes.

June 2009:

June is a pretty busy month. I'll have work at Haiku and the abstract show at the High Road Gallery is happening. I finally got the Etsy shop up and running, too. Other things...as always, working on my website redesign!
